Well what know about a Chapel there was in fact a meeting place for witches, there and another place they would congregate mostly Friday evenings and throw curses at the Priory on Lihou Island.
The nearest Chapel was Ste. Appollines Chapel, it was a Chantry Chapel built in the 1300s. There again because of the dominant way of religion, not Christian, once again it was spited by witches. it is believed to have been haunted, and anyone entering was greeted by fire and harsh voices, it fell into disuse. then the States bought it. it is now a preserved building.
There are probably other stories, but those are the ones I knew about. It had always been a place of Mystery, and was shunned by most; One must remember that Guernsey Folklore, has never really gone away, even today people will cross their chest when they feel danger or uncertainty.
